Handcrafted stoneware mug "Alsace Earths" – Handmade ceramic decorated with Alsatian earths, glazed interior

Immerse yourself in authenticity with "Terres Alsace," a stoneware mug handmade in my ceramics workshop in Colmar. Its clean and raw design celebrates natural raw materials: a blend of white and red clay, enhanced by a strip of Alsatian soil collected during my walks through the region.

A tribute to nature: each mug is unique, bearing the imprint of the Alsatian terroir. The gas firing process using reduction gives each piece subtle nuances.

An enamelled interior and great versatility: its food-grade enamel ensures safe use for your favourite drinks, while also allowing for other functions: pencil holder, utensil storage or simple decorative object.

- Dishwasher safe (hand washing recommended)

All our tableware is dishwasher safe and food-safe. However, for better preservation, hand washing is recommended.

The pieces may have very fine edges that are prone to chipping if struck, so please handle your pots with care.

Most of the glazes I create have cracks, and over time the vitrified surface may become stained in the presence of liquids (tea or coffee). There is no danger in using them, as the pots, fired at 1280°C, are highly vitrified, and nothing toxic or dangerous can come from the stoneware or the crackled glazes.
